RigTracer LLC ("RigTracer," "we," "us," or "our") values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you access or use the RigTracer software platform (the "Service"). RigTracer is a business-to-business (B2B) service. In many cases, RigTracer processes information on behalf of a Customer organization, and that organization may control what information is entered into the Service.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to:
- Users who create accounts and use the Service (administrators, employees, technicians, etc.)
- Visitors to RigTracer websites or pages that link to this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party websites or services that may be linked from the Service.
2. Information We Collect
A. Account & Profile Information
We collect information you provide, such as name, email address, phone number, job title or role, company name and identifiers, and login credentials. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are not stored in plain text.
B. Customer Data (Business Content You Upload)
Customers may upload or enter business information into the Service, including tickets, work notes, job details, attachments, customer contact details, rig/site information, operational details, and (if enabled) signatures and signature timestamps. This content is "Customer Data" and remains the Customer's content.
C. Payment & Subscription Information
Payments are processed through third-party payment processors (e.g., Stripe). We do not store full payment card numbers. We may receive limited billing metadata (such as subscription status, plan tier, last four digits, or billing history) from the payment processor.
D. Usage, Device, and Log Data
We may automatically collect information such as IP address, browser type, device identifiers, timestamps, pages/screens accessed, feature usage, and error/performance logs. This helps us maintain security and improve reliability.

4. How We Share Information
We do not sell Customer Data.
A. Service Providers (Processors)
We use trusted third parties to help run the Service, such as cloud hosting and database providers, authentication and security services, payment processors, and email delivery providers. These providers are authorized to process information only to perform services for us.
B. Legal Requirements
We may disclose information if required to comply with law, court order, subpoena, or other legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of RigTracer, our users, or others.
C. Business Transfers
If RigTracer is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to standard confidentiality protections.
5. Data Retention
Customer Data is retained according to the Customer's subscription and the Service's data retention practices. Upon cancellation or termination, Customer Data may remain available for export for a limited period, after which it may be deleted unless retention is required by law. We also retain certain logs and billing records for security, fraud prevention, and compliance purposes.
6. Security
We use commercially reasonable safeguards designed to protect information, including access controls, encryption in transit (and where applicable at rest), and authentication measures. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on your location and relationship to the Customer organization, you may have rights to access, correct, or update your account/profile information, and request deletion of your account information (subject to legal obligations and Customer/administrator controls). If your account is managed by an employer or Customer organization, requests may need to be handled by your administrator.
8. International Use
RigTracer is based in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., you understand that information may be processed and stored in the U.S. and other locations where RigTracer or its service providers operate.
